It all began in 2016, in the living room of my home — a space where I could pour my creative soul into my work. That’s where my passion became my outlet.

In 2017, I opened my first shop on Ellenborough Street in Ipswich, and Upcycled Treasure was born. With no formal plan, just a love for creating, I built a space that not only fueled my creativity but also inspired others to explore theirs. It quickly grew into a vibrant community of makers and dreamers. From that, The Studio emerged — a place for workshops, one-on-one classes, and a creative haven for women to express themselves.

After nearly two years, we moved into a larger space in Newtown. But like so many, COVID-19 changed everything. In early 2020, we had to close our doors and store everything away.

A few months later, in June 2020, a new opportunity appeared — a charming space on Queen Street in Harrisville. We jumped at it, reopening under a new name: Treasure on Queen. Despite navigating the challenges of the pandemic, the shop thrived for over two years and eventually expanded into a family venture with our ever-growing café, Viney’s Place.

Life, as it does, shifted again. After three wonderful years at 28 Queen Street, my husband and I decided to slow down and embrace a new chapter. He’s found his own career path, and I’ve carried forward my creative calling.

Although the shop is no longer, my journey continues with a booth at the Camp Hill Antique Centre — a little corner where my pieces still find new homes and stories.

With over a decade of experience, I’ve mastered the art of transforming discarded or forgotten furniture into something beautiful and full of soul. My work now graces homes across Australia.

Sustainability and creativity drive everything I do. I see potential where others see only waste — and that keeps my heart full and my hands busy.
